Advanced Dental Implant Care: Part I Assessment

The virtual room will open 15 minutes before the start of the program.

In this seminar you will be introduced to the current research redefining parameters for implant assessment; the protocols, techniques and instruments used for assessment and probing necessary for skillful evaluation and planning. This course will review research, strategies and protocols to develop an evidence-based approach to effective implant assessment.

Upon completion of the course, the attendee will be able to:

1.  Understand the various types and key components of implant restorations
2.  Comprehend current research regarding implant assessment and care
3.  Understand the critical facets of implant assessment including prosthetic and osseous evaluation, mobility of implant components and the assessment of peri-implant and gingival tissue 
4.  Recognize the need and clinical considerations associated with probing peri-implant crevice
5.  Know how to identify clinical markers for peri-mucositis and peri-implantitis.

She is Executive Director of the auxiliary section, the ADIA (Association of Dental Implant Auxiliaries). Lynn focuses her work on worldwide implant education for auxiliaries.  She is also a fellow in the ADIA, and a member of ICOI's Board of Directors.
