Preparing Your Community for Homeownership
Training Description: This interactive session will identify obstacles and barriers to homeownership in the communities of the attendees and explore existing resources for solutions. In this exploration discussion, topics will include financial literacy training, homebuyer education, post purchase training, credit coaching, entrepreneurship and more. In addition, this session will explain how the HUD Section 184 Home Loan Program and other programs can benefit Tribal members, the Tribe, Tribally Designated Housing Entities and Indian Housing Authorities. When the attendees complete this session they will leave energized with fresh ideas to share with their communities.
