Course Description: Native Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) provide financial resources and training programs aimed at tribal community development. This interactive webinar will teach participants about how to work with CDFIs, where CDFIs fit in the overall funding landscape, and how to create their own CDFI. The objective of the webinar is to introduce participants to the basics of CDFIs, identify key Native CDFIs that are active in different regions and how participants can take advantage of resources provided by CDFIs. Course Overview: • Understand the basics of CDFIs; • Identify key Native CDFIs active in different regions; • Working for CDFIs and taking advantage of the resources they provide; • How to create your community’s own CDFI; • Partnering with other financial institutions.
