Carrie Russell is the director of the American Library Association’s (ALA) Program on Public Access to Information. In August 2012, the ALA released Russell's book, "Complete Copyright for K–12 Librarians and Educators," a copyright law guidebook specifically written for teachers and librarians. The book addresses the challenges that school librarians and teachers face concerning copyright-protected print and online materials at schools and outside of the traditional educational environment.
