Training Description: American Indians who have houses and land may be subject to special rules and laws when it comes to giving, selling or leasing that property. This course will touch on those special rules and laws in what is commonly known as conveyances. To convey is to transfer property properly to make it valid in the eyes of the law. Also included in this training module is a section on Probates. This course will describe the steps in the probate process as it pertains to American Indians. If anyone owns land or a house, it cannot be inherited legally without going through probate. This course will explain the basics of what it is and how it works.
